Sophist: Jurnal Sosial Politik Kajian Islam dan Tafsir is a peer-reviewed, open access journal (SINTA 4) published by the Faculty of Ushuluddin and Religious Studies, State Islamic University (UIN) of Mataram. It publishes original research and conceptual studies on the socio-political dimensions of Islamic studies and Qur’anic interpretation.
Sophist invites original manuscripts for three themed 2027 issues: Islamic authority and public ethics after the digital turn (deadline 31 March 2027), ecological theology and climate justice (deadline 31 May 2027), and future Muslim societies (deadline 31 July 2027). Submissions open 1 November 2026 via OJS.
