Developed by Jamaludin, the founder of PAMSI, this method is designed to complement the tahsin and tahfiz approaches with tafhim (understanding), resulting in a comprehensive and contextual learning process. BHATATSA emphasizes keyword analysis, inspirational writing, and concrete actions as a form of internalization of Quranic values in the lives of students. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study design, involving direct observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation of Quranic Diary activities. Data were collected from the founder, teachers, and students, and analyzed descriptively and qualitatively through the stages of condensation, presentation, and drawing conclusions. Validity was maintained through triangulation. The findings indicate that the BHATATSA method combines learning principles from Islamic heritage such as the theory of Sufyan bin Uyainah and Bloom's taxonomy, which each emphasize the stages of reading, understanding, memorizing, practicing, and disseminating. These five stages are adapted into activities that engage the five senses plus two: the heart and the mind, making learning more lively and reflective. This method has been tested for five years on digital platforms and four years in educational institutions. The results demonstrate that BHATATSA is able to improve Quranic literacy, develop critical thinking, and strengthen the role of Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) as adaptive and transformative Islamic educational institutions in the modern era.
2025-12-16T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Sophist : Jurnal Sosial Politik Kajian Islam dan Tafsir http://sophist.or.id/index.php/js/article/view/146 Polarisasi Aliran Keagamaan Menyimpang Di Kabupaten Lombok Tengah 2025-12-16T14:24:54+07:00 Lutfatul Azizah azizahlutfatul@gmail.com Aidul Fitriawan aidulfitriawan@uinmataram.ac.id Windi Fitriani windifitriani@gmail.com
This study analyzes social polarization toward religious groups considered deviant in Central Lombok, where movements such as Wahdatul Wujud, Islam Sasak, Shamsiyah, and Ahmadiyya have developed distinct religious interpretations. Their presence has raised concerns about doctrinal purity and social stability within the Muslim-majority community. Using Karl R. Popper’s theory of social polarization, this research explains the tendency of local society to adopt closed attitudes toward religious interpretive diversity. The study employs a qualitative approach, with data collected through field observations, in-depth interviews, and document analysis, which were analyzed thematically to capture prevailing social dynamics. The findings indicate that the emergence of these groups is driven by several factors, including low levels of religious literacy, the persistence of local cultural traditions, and dissatisfaction with formal da'wah practices. These conditions contribute to social division between groups defending orthodox Islamic teachings and those advocating greater religious freedom. The response of governmental and religious authorities particularly through heresy fatwas issued by the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) and intensified surveillance has further strengthened polarization. As a result, affected groups experience stigma, social exclusion, and occasional conflict, with the Ahmadiyya community facing the most severe pressure. The study concludes that strengthening inclusive religious education, promoting intergroup dialogue, and implementing strategies of religious moderation are crucial to reducing polarization and fostering social harmony in Central Lombok.
2025-12-16T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Sophist : Jurnal Sosial Politik Kajian Islam dan Tafsir http://sophist.or.id/index.php/js/article/view/138 Political News In Online Media And The Development Of Hoax Narratives In The Gunung Sari Islamic Boarding School, West Lombok 2025-03-13T17:49:46+07:00 Sugianto giansorum889@gmail.com Mohzana mohzana@hamzanwadi.ac.id Mudarman Mudarman8558@gmail.com
This article aims to analyze politics on online media and its relationship to the development of hoax narratives in Islamic boarding schools located in the Gunung Sari area, West Lombok.
This article purpose to examine and criticize the tradition of relations between santri and kiai in Islamic boarding schools which are generally affiliated with Nahdlatul Ulama (NU). NU is likened to a large Islamic boarding school, while the Islamic boarding schools scattered throughout the archipelago are miniatures of NU. NU's progress and contributions are very diverse and are felt to this day, especially the struggle to expel the invaders in the archipelago, culminating in the momentum of the November 10 battle in Surabaya through the Jihad Fatwa (Resolution) issued by KH. Hasyim Asy'ari as Rais Akbar NU at that time. Another contribution of NU that has had a broad impact in the field of education is the existence of Islamic boarding schools which are estimated to have emerged in the 16th century AD. Islamic boarding school education is native to the archipelago and is claimed to be the oldest education system. Apart from being taught religious sciences such as jurisprudence, faith and morals, character education is also strongly instilled in Islamic boarding schools through direct education from a kiai. However, in practice, there is often an excessive cult of kiai due to several underlying factors, highlighted here is the aristocracy tradition inherited from the palace which is reflected in the santri's ethics towards kiai.
2025-12-16T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Sophist : Jurnal Sosial Politik Kajian Islam dan Tafsir http://sophist.or.id/index.php/js/article/view/127 A Perspektif Tafsir Al-Qurthubi Tentang Krisis Akhlak Di Era Digital 2024-12-06T21:37:23+07:00 Muhammad Wildanul Af wildanulaf@gmail.com Khairul Fadhli rezaramadhan230713@gmail.com Muhammad Saad Muhammadsaad7@gmail.com
The background of this study focuses on the moral crisis emerging due to shifting interaction patterns in the digital era.
